Services

01.

I work with adults 18 years and older helping you to understand and address your mental health concerns, life challenges, and well-being.

I see young adults, men, and woman for individual therapy. I am also knowledgeable in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ+.

02.

More than ever, men need to talk. Depression, anxiety, and sadly the incidence of suicide under men is increasing.

A lot of men I see in therapy want three things from me as a therapist:

  • to feel welcomed and accepted,

  • to have a clear, and understanding conversation where you are listened to and heard,

  • and to provide  direct, solution-based input when asked for.

As we work on the solution-based aspects, we also delve deeper into understanding why you are the way you are and why you struggle with the things you struggle with. We call it scaffolding- while we build and renovate, there is enough support, so things don’t fall over, or someone exits through an open window.

For more about therapy for men, please read: Why men struggle with asking for help.

03.

With a mental health care plan from your GP, we can access up to 10 Medicare rebate sessions per calendar year (i.e., January to December). Session fees are $220 per session, and with the Medicare rebate you will receive $145.25 back into your account.

If you have private health insurance, it's a good idea to check with your provider regarding the rebates offered for psychology sessions. Remember, you can't claim from both Medicare and your private health insurance for the same session.

You can also make an appointment without a rebate or referral. This means that you will pay the full session fee out of pocket.
